Long and large tongue causing loud snoring and OSA
Large tongue can cause loud snoring and obstructive sleep apnea( OSA ). There are procedures to shrink, pull, stabilize or debulk the large tongue.
The picture (shown above) of the tongue of this patient is a huge, long and floppy one. There is no room for the tongue to comfortably sit in the mouth. He is a heavy snorer and suffers from OSA. He had surgery to trim the uvula elsewhere but not cured him.
Coblator reduction is the best and easiest way to debulk it.
