I salute and pay tribute to Sushrutha who perhaps is the oldest surgeon we can remember.Though the exact time of Sushruta is not known he seems to have existed much before Christ and popularly his living is dated to sixth century BC. His famous writings known as “Sushruta Samhita” are devoted essentially to surgery.
