Hoarseness of voice is an abnormal change in your voice caused by disorders in the vocal cords of the voice box, or larynx. Voice changes are related to disorders in the sound-producing parts like vocal cords of the voice box. Swelling or lumps on the vocal cords hinder vibration, altering voice quality, volume, and pitch. After the initial work up, if the lesion is identified, microlaryngoscopy is performed under general anesthesia. Here a microdebrider is used to shave off the lesion after taking a biopsy.
This is done in Jubilee Hospital Trivandrum Kerala South India.
