Release of  Tongue by Laser

Tongue-tie is a condition caused by a short lingual frenulum that prevents the tongue from protruding. Occasionally, it could interfere with breast feeding. (Also called ankyloglossia)

These patients are brought to ENT Surgeon, dentist, lactation consultant, speech-language pathologist, or a general practitioner.

Although there is little consensus of opinion, there is still reluctance to recommend surgery. As a result, there are many children who undergo several years of speech therapy with little or no improvement until the tongue tie is detected .Most of the grow to adulthood with poor speech and unable to kiss his or her girl friend with the tongue, which is very embarrassing.
