Augmentation Rhinoplasty is often performed under GA. Depending on the complexity of the procedure, a trained ENT surgeon can often take between two to three hours to perform the nose surgery. During the procedure, an incision is made between the nostrils, so that the bone and cartilage can be lifted up and reshaped. To build up the nose, bone and cartilage is grafted and transplanted. While cartilage grafts are generally taken from the ears, bone grafts are taken from the ribs or hip bone.
