Love from the Alabaster box
The room grew still as she made her way to Jesus.
She stumpled through tears that made her blind
She felt such pain so unspoken anger.
Her folks whispered There’s no place
here for her kind.
Still on she came
through the shame
that flushed her face
until at last she knelt before His feet
And though she spoke no words
everything she said was heard.
As she poured her love for the Master
from her box of alabaster.
And I come to pour my praise on Him.
like oil from the riser alabaster box.
Please don’t be angry
if I wash His feet with my tears
and dry them with my hair.
You weren’t there the night He found me.
you did not feel what I felt
when He wrapped his loving arms around me.
and you don’t know the cost
of the oil in my alabaster box.
See I can’t forget
the way I’ve use to be
I was a prisoner to sin
that had me bound.
And I spend my days
pouring my life from measure
in a little treasure box.
I know I found
until the day when Jesus came to me.
and healed my soul with the wonder of His touch.
So now I’m giving back to Him
all the Praise He is worthy of.
I’m forgiven and that is why
I Love Him so much
and I’ve come to pour my praise on Him
like oil from my alabaster box.
Please don’t be angry
if I wash His feet with my tears
and dry them with my hair.
You weren’t there that night when He found me.
and You don’t know the cost of the oil
You don’t know the cost of my praise
You don’t know the cost of the oil
in my alabaster box.
You don’t know what He’s brought me from.
Oh.. So I’m giving Him everything.
I’m laying my life at your feet Lord.
Take this Heart of Mine.
Take this Heart of Mine Jesus.
I pour my praise on you
I pour all my praise on you.
You are worth everything
Everything, All of my life
All of my praise.
I’m giving you everything
I remember how my life was without you.
I don’t want to ever go back
No. You took lonliness
and you gave me Joy!
