“And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God has caused me to forget all my troubles and my father’s family [Genesis 41:50-51] And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.” [Genesis 41:51].
Genesis 41:52 “And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.” Ephraim was the second son of Joseph, blessed by Jacob and given the bigger blessing of the two brothers.
The Manasseh was the first born of Joseph, the name Manasseh means “To forget”
Ephraim was second son of Joseph and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of Israel and the name means ” fruitful-blessings”
Always in our life we should ask for forgiveness from God first and when God forgive and forget our sins, Ephraim will follow, not the other way. We should forgive and forget the pain others caused you. We often ask for Ephraim experience first, not the Manasseh experience.
In earthly life of Jesus He gave Manasseh (forgiveness of ones sin) first, then the healing(Ephraim) followed.
Without the first born, how can be a second born?
