Subglottic stenosis is a narrowing of the subglottic airway.The causes of acquired subglottic stenosis include endotracheal intubation, external trauma, infection or inflammation or thermal or caustic injuries. By far, the most common cause of acquired subglottic stenosis is endotracheal intubation resulting in 90% of the cases.Here the subglotic stenosis happened after neck injury and prolonged intubation before tracheostomy being done.
