Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM (hayah) has sent me to you.’\’ Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The LORD (YHWH) God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.'” Ex 3.3-15

We all know that God exist, but no one knows exactly His name. God is not God’s name. The God of the universe has a name, but “God” isn’t it. “God” is what God is. Like us, we are called by different names, so to God is known and called by different religion…

In the Judeo-Christian-Islamic religious/cultural tradition, there are many descriptions like the almighty, the beneficent, but only one personal name of God. The Islamic tradition speaks of the “100 names of Allah”, but these are actually titles. The word “Allah” is Arabic for “God”, which is English for the Hebrew word “Elohim”. Ehyeh asher ehyeh is generally interpreted to mean I am that I am, though it more literally translates as “I-shall-be that I-shall-be.”
It matters not at all which religion or cultural heritage you are from! Truth transcends all boundaries.
The problem with God is not that He’s so far away that we can’t see Him. Rather, He is so close that we overlook Him. Our quest for God is just like fish in search of water. So don’t be surprised if you start to recognize God’s name everywhere.

JESUS-GOD MANIFEST IN FLESH
Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh 1 Tim 3.16a
I AM the bread of life John 6.35a
and I AM the light of the world. John 8.12a
and I AM the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, yet he shall live. John 11.25a
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 8.58
Then Judas, having received a band and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
Then Jesus, knowing all things that were coming upon Him, went out and said to them, “Whom do you seek?” They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
Jesus said to them, “I AM!” And Judas who betrayed Him also stood with them.
As soon as Jesus said to them,” I AM,” they went backward and fell to the ground. John 18.3-
Christ’s Hebrew name is also spelled and pronounced Yehoshua. Yeshua is what most Hebrew believers use as the Christ’s personal name. In either case (Yeshua or Yehoshua) Christ’s name means Yahweh is salvation.
Thus, the name Yeshua tells you two altogether beautiful facts about Christ…
and He is Yahweh, the LORD God, AND
and He is Yahweh, YOUR salvation!!!
