Easter also called Pesach or Resurrection Sunday, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
Easter joy is real, although it only comes after paying a price. Jesus Christ has always been in the business of the surprise.
I hope this Easter peace penetrates everywhere, into every one, especially into the hearts to the sick and suffering, the lonely and dejected. Also for those suffering people who cries out to G-D….
