Azazel Goat or ‘scapegoat’ comes from when ancient Jews used to have a goat in the temple on the Day of Atonement, and each individual would place their hands on goat, transferring their sins to it. The community would then let the goat loose into the wilderness taking their sins with it. The goat, symbolically bearing their sins, was then sent into the wilderness.
The original meaning of scapegoat was escape goat, the goat that was allowed to “escape” with its life. The accepted modern meaning of scapegoat, someone who is punished for the wrongs of others.
Nowadays, when we say we are a scapegoat, we say we are being blamed for somebody else’s wrongdoing…
Do’nt blame our ancestors:
There is WRONG teaching in christian and other religion that the children are punished for the wrong doings of their forefathers.God is righteous, He won’t punish anyone who doesn’t do any wrong doing.There are some religious teachers who qoute the bible versus out of context and not knowing the correct transilation of the original text.God is kind and merciful, not waiting to take revenge like a Gunda.
These false teachers put lot of fear in people’s mind and ask for heavy penance- like giving money as charity, a fair share goes to them too.Eventually what happens is that we start to hate our beloved/departed ancestors.It is absurd.
If you do mischief you only will be punished, do always good Karma, you will reap what you sow.Please don’t make the poor ancestor’s souls “scapegoats”for your sins!!!!
