Passage to Valiyamala
After reading my last post in this site-
http://drpaulose.com/spirituality/the-more-you-give-the-more-you-get
A number of people responded and helped Mr. Joykutty in his “one man army” charity work. He called me and asked me to convey his thanks and prayers, may God bless those who forwarded the post to so many friends. May God bless all those kind hearted.
Here I am using my site for yet another cause. You might ask what this is for. As Tithe, one can give money, your skill, your time or your prayers. Here I use little of my time and effort for a genuine cause.
If you have a good home, good job, enough food to eat, clean water to drink, and your children study in good schools or well settled, please read this and forward it to your friends.
It is not a chain letter of humor; it is about life and survival of some people like you and me.

HOME FOR HOMELESS
Valiyamala is a rural village in the mountainous area few kilometers from the city of Trivandrum, capital of “Gods own country” called state of Kerala in south India. I often wonder is it really Gods own country after seeing the miserable state of affairs of those poor villagers living in this area.

Here one find only neglected people one can imagine. The politician make a visit once in five years to get their votes by giving empty promises, then nothing happens, no one turns up.
These are the poorest of the poor, whose lives are only horrible suffering and deprivation.

No water
There is utter poverty. There is No electricity, No water in the village.
Please read this and see the pictures in this site and Iam sure Gods spirit will move you.

Home for Homeless Project
St.Vincent De Paul, Trivandrum chapter have been engaged in lot of charity works-like helping the needs of orphanages in and around the city, helping cancer patients coming to Regional Cancer centre, had adopted 7 families fully looking after their needs, helping out school children who cannot afford school fees and collecting and distributing used/old clothes to the poor. And so on..

Who are the Real Heroes ?
These silent workers should be awarded “Lt Col, Doctorate, Padmasree, Sir and other victorious medals” for their silent crusade to avert poverty and help the needy. But only the famous and the filthy rich manage to get it.
When millions are betting on IPL cricket teams, there is no one to bet on these ill fated human beings.
